Little Linac

Over 1,600 children are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK. While over 50% undergo radiotherapy treatment, the information and support surrounding this treatment process is lacking. This leads to increased stress and anxiety in patients before and during the treatment process.

Little Linac aims to empower children through play, allowing them to take control of the radiotherapy treatment process on their own scale. Designed to compliment existing play therapy techniques, the Little Linac captures the movements, lighting and sound of the real machine. For use in hospital environments, the “teddy scale” model gives patients the opportunity to play doctor and treat a soft toy of their choice.
