The Orcat Project is an end-to-end bike tailoring process. It starts with a comprehensive assessment of what the cyclist wants and needs, and ends with a custom bike that has been designed specifically by those requirements - creating the perfect fit.

The output is achieved through a series of user defined measurements and variables captured by a react application which is then fed into a mathematical model. The resulting data is pushed into Fusion 360 where a customised 3D model is generated for the individual. The process being completely autonomous from the point of user input. Pairing the project with additive manufacturing processes presents the opportunity to introduce mass customisation into the industry and, ultimately, change the way bikes are designed.

The project’s aim is to biomatch the bike to the individual based on who they are as a cyclist and what they aim to get out of it. Everyone is different, therefore every bike should be too.
