Invented in the 17th century, towels are outdated, unhygienic and consume a significant amount of water and energy through washing.

Arido has been designed as a modern and hygienic body drying method, with a particular focus on giving individuals with mobility issues independence when drying themselves.

High speed air flows through the two rotating vents on the front of the body dryer to allow for efficient, full body drying. A simple, intuitive user interface was chosen for the intended user group, with push buttons being deemed most suitable for individuals with limited dexterity. The height of airflow can be adjusted allowing for the product to be used when standing or sitting.

The product has been primarily designed for use within the home environment. However, arido could be used in many other environments such as hotels, gyms, swimming pools, care homes and hospitals.
