Project Natva

Saving time, sustaining heritage.

Designed by Manuele Dellapina

"This project addresses the problem of transporting agricultural loads across the steep terraced vineyards of the Cinque Terre, where traditional methods remain dominant due to preservation constraints and fragmented land ownership.

Developed in collaboration with local growers, the solution responds to the daily logistical challenges faced during harvest season and throughout the year.

Set in a UNESCO protected landscape along the Ligurian coast of Italy, the work focuses on easing the movement of grapes and materials between scattered plots and collection points.

It proposes a modular crate system based on EUR Pallets, designed to integrate with existing monorails and cableways already in use by farmers.

By improving handling and compatibility, the system aims to save time, considered by growers as their most valuable resource and to support the ongoing viability of small scale wine making in this difficult and beautiful environment."
