Boost

A stand for beginner BC3 boccia ramps, bridging the gap between beginner and intermediate play.

Designed by Hattie Nieper

Boccia is a Paralympic precision ball sport designed for people with physical disabilities. BC3 players have the highest level of impairment and use a ramp to get the ball into play. Current beginner ramps are inadequate, lacking adjustability and competition-level features.

Boost is a stand designed to support beginner boccia ramp users. It provides a stable, adaptable platform that uses the weight of the wheelchair for secure positioning without complex fixtures.

The design offers high adjustability to suit different wheelchair setups, athlete preferences, and playing styles, while remaining intuitive for ramp operators. It is compatible with a variety of existing ramps for flexible configuration.

The stand packs into a transportable bag offering a low-cost, accessible solution that bridges the gap to competitive play.
